Doggie Diapers....

Read his body language and note his excitement over our newest discovery; Disposable diapers. Pfft.

In 2006 I received my little furry bundle of joy as a gift. As far as potty training goes, we had a rocky start, but thankfully he got the hang of it.

so I guess this is a relapse...?

We go for walks, we run and play outside, he even scratches at the door when he needs to go out. Yet and still when I come home from work or even just leave him alone for two seconds I find a puddle somewhere.

The vet suggests that I get him neutered to stop him from peeing in the house (something about male dominance and territory marking) but I refuse. Yes I know that this is not a bad thing and can potentially be beneficial to his health, but for some reason I still just can't!

The doggy diapers seem to be working, but they are a bit pricey at around ten dollars a package. After you factor in the number of times a day that I have to change it, this becomes an expensive way to keep the floors puddle free!

Like so many other single moms (hah!) I decided to turn to cloth diapers. They are effective, environmentally friendly, and light on my wallet! I ordered one online and I've decided to turn it into a fun DIY project for the week. Time to break out my sewing kit!

On a totally unrelated note, I know I said I was going to do a post about the President coming to my town for labor day, but I've decided against it. Partially because I am short and in the crowd of people, most of my pictures look like this:

Mind you I'm standing on random boulder, on my tip toes, with my camera above my head. Lol, sad.
The main reason why I want to omit that post from my blog is because this could easily turn into a political blog. I'm very passionate about my political convictions, and although my tag line says "a little bit of everything"...yea not so much politics. I'll save my op-eds for the classroom!

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend and an even better week! I'm looking forward to this busy week. Wish us luck with the diaper venture!

XO Chloe'

  3. Mrs. Pancakes, I felt like I was in line for a cedar point roller coaster times one thousand! The line to get past security was ridiculous but worth it!
