"I just love happy endings.."

Ok, seriously? My bootleg photographer skills are lacking. So mad that the brides face got cut off on that top right pic, but you can clearly see in the full one on the left that she was stunning! The dress, hair and makeup were simply flawless! Their colors were Tiffany blue and white and the reception was full of lots of culture and tradition. As I said before, not a word of English was spoken. (hah!) It was really a beautiful event and I was honored that Ahmed invited me to such a special, intimate moment in his life. I really wish I could have taken a pic with him, but the star of the show was in high demand! Haha, look at my buddy's face. He's not nervous, that's just his expression. He seems so pleased and happy with her! Aww :)

So what'd I end up wearing....

Simple, basic black. The shoes do NOT get a space on the picture collage. They hurt my feet WAY too much. They were safely secured in the trash before I made it to my car. I had to seriously alter this dress because it was a tad inappropriate. I dont know why or how but when I tried it on in the store, I neglected to notice that there were lace cutouts along the sides of the dress and just under the bust line. I ended up wearing a black cami under the dress. The earrings I found years ago at F21 and never really had the opportunity to wear them. I absolutely love them and wish I would have taken a closer pic! I also semi-regret doing such heavy black eyeliner. It was streaming down my face as soon as I saw Ahmed. (Yes, I'm one of those wedding-goers!)

Here's a close up of those nails. I purchased those Sally Hansen Salon Effects overlays in "laced up". Despite the fact that I didn't completely remove the red nail polish before applying, i thought it turned out pretty cute :)
Sometime this week I plan on posting pics from my recent thrift store trip. I was so pleased with the things that I found. I usually end up leaving thrift stores empty handed, and sneezing, but not this time!

Hope everyone has a productive week. Stay faithful <3

  1. I love your nails, your dress, and your overall look. You look so pretty. I have a similar dress that I wore this past weekend and the top back of the dress is all lace. Congratulations to the bride and groom! I cry at weddings too. It's such a wonderful occasion.
