Wamp wamp...

To say that I had an emotionally draining day today would be a gross understatement. *sigh*  so instead of dwelling on my stresses, I decided to do something that makes me happy. <3

A couple years ago I was sitting in my apartment daydreaming about the places I'd like to visit. I always stopped myself from going places because I didn't have a boyfriend to go with and I dont really have girlfriends. On a complete whim, I booked a weekend trip for myself and my dog :) to Miami. I was pretty worried that I would be bored and lonely, but I actually had a very relaxing, great time.  Every morning me and my dog ran on the beach, read, ate, and enjoyed spa treatments (well, the reading and spa sessions I did solo!). So every January we GO. So far we've been to Miami, Chicago, Colorado and Palm Desert. This year, I've decided to take it back west.

I'm focusing all of my energy (and fitness) into January's trip to Orange County, CA. Tonight I booked our suite at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach. I am SO excited to explore the shops and restaurants and take in the gorgeous west coast views.

Best of all since I booked pretty early I got a great flight and hotel deal.  I hope these next couple of months fly by!

  1. Hang in there, January is almost there! You'll love Huntington Beach and I'm pretty sure your dog will have a great trip as well! Taking your dog on an annual vacation is so unique and it sounds like such a fabulous time. Maybe next time I plan a vacay, I'll keep my Beebs in mind! :)

  4. I love this post! It's great that you are comfortable enough to do things alone. At times I just want to do something but being without a boyfriend and not really having girlfriends too, I just take myself or go with my girls. I love how you made it an annual trip for you and your dog and that you're out traveling. I should do something like that for my girls and I.
